Corporate gifting & tradeshow programs
Custom corporate gifts. Your logo, their name, one object.
Most promotional gifts are a cost line nobody defends. The ones that work are the ones a customer would have bought for themselves. Black Anvil builds named, boxed, event-ready corporate gift programs on knives, metal wallets, glassware and keepsakes — from ten pieces for a board dinner to five hundred for a national show. Engraved in Sugar Hill, Georgia, shipped anywhere in the United States.
Why most branded gifts fail
The problem is almost never the object. It is the constraints around it. A manufacturer’s in-house engraving program typically starts at fifty identical pieces, so you order fifty of one design and hand the same thing to your largest account and to a stranger who walked past the booth. Artwork has to survive their template. Change anything and the lead time restarts. Faced with that, most teams default to the safe forgettable middle — the pen, the tote, the branded stress ball — and then write off the leftovers at the end of the last day.
Small batches remove every one of those constraints. When the minimum is one, the gift can be designed around the business receiving it: their mark, their project name, the recipient’s own name on the reverse. The customer who fishes gets the fly water engraved on the wallet plate. The account that closed the biggest deal of the year gets his name on the money clip. That is not an upsell. It is the difference between a giveaway and a gift.
The economics also work better than people expect. A named Kershaw with a two-side mark and an etched presentation box costs less than dinner for two at a conference hotel, and unlike the dinner it sits on a desk for a decade.
Three programs we run most
Tradeshow VIP drops
Not the tote-bag tier. A short run of named pieces for the twenty accounts you actually want at the booth, packed in labeled boxes so your reps hand out the right one to the right person.
Closed-deal & milestone gifts
Sent the week the contract signs, engraved with the project name and date. Cheaper than a steak dinner and it sits on their desk for years afterward.
Service awards & retirements
Individually named pieces at any quantity, including one. Add years of service, a hire date, or a line only that team would understand.

Individual naming
Send a spreadsheet of names and we handle the rest: each piece engraved, matched to its box, and labeled with the recipient so distribution at the event takes no thought. No per-name surcharge under 100 pieces.
Every piece is held in a printed jig so the reverse-side mark registers against the front within a fraction of a millimetre. That is what keeps a fifty-piece named run looking like one object made fifty times rather than fifty objects that happen to match.
Artwork, and what happens to it
Vector files are ideal — AI, EPS, SVG or PDF with outlined text. A 300 dpi PNG works. A photograph of a business card works too: we redraw it as clean vector art, free on orders of twenty-five or more and $35 below that. Marks are single-tone, so a colour logo becomes a solid silhouette or a halftone, and the proof shows you exactly which.
Your artwork is used for your order and nothing else. We will not put your brand in our portfolio without asking you first, in writing.
